Hello, my name is Hailey Benbow and I am a doula with a passion for supporting families through the journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. After becoming a mother, I was inspired to become a doula and help other families have a positive experience.
My philosophy on birth is rooted in the belief that every family deserves personalized care and support throughout the journey to parenthood. I believe in empowering parents to make informed decisions about their pregnancy and birth, and I strive to create a safe, nurturing environment for them to do so.
As a doula, I offer a range of services to support expectant parents, including prenatal education, labor support, postpartum care, and breastfeeding support. I have experience working with a variety of different parenting preferences and situations.
My approach to working with clients is one of compassion, openness, and collaboration. I prioritize effective communication and am committed to being available to answer any questions or concerns that may arise. I also believe in working closely with other members of the healthcare team to ensure that my clients receive the best possible care.

With my first I had an awesome Labor & Delivery nurse who had worked as a midwife and was so supportive and knowledgeable. I knew there was a chance I might not get so lucky again and did not want to take the risk. From the time I signed a contract all through labor and even through recovery Hailey has been such a gem. Checking in on me regularly and providing me with a wealth of information through the whole process. She was so encouraging and very hands-on with massage and counter pressure to aid in pain management and positioning to help speed up labor. I felt heard, validated, and so supported as she helped to advocate for me in following my wishes through the birth plan. “My baby came 4 weeks early therefore I was not prepared for postpartum and breastfeeding at all because it was last on my list, when truthfully it should have been first! Once I was home from the hospital Hailey came over to help me with all things breastfeeding and answered any questions I had regarding baby, postpartum, breastfeeding etc. She showed me what a strong latch looks like, what it should feel like and how to correct a shallow latch. She assisted me in measuring my nipples to make sure I had the correct size pump parts for when it came time to pump. Her knowledge in breastfeeding has helped me have such a positive breastfeeding journey of 18 months and counting.”

“I’m so grateful to have had Hailey by my side during labor and delivery. She studied my birth plan and was on top of making sure I had the birth I wanted. She was the best advocate and cheerleader and made me feel very comfortable and empowered during such a vulnerable moment. Anytime I felt unsure about something a nurse said Hailey was there to give me confidence and to remind me of my rights as a patient. There was a moment toward the end of labor that I was considering medical intervention and Hailey was so wonderful about discussing options with me and ultimately I was able to have my baby girl with no interventions.
A note from my support person: Hailey was amazing the moment she arrived to the moment she ended her care with us. Ensuring the whole care team was following my sisters birth plan and reassuring my sisters decisions along the way. Her beautiful bedside manner was a joy to witness. I felt grateful having her guide me in supporting my sister during her labor. Hailey has a true golden heart of a doula.”

“Hailey was such an encouragement to me, even before my journey to motherhood began. Fears of pregnancy, especially labor and delivery, and worries of motherhood made me feel nervous and incapable, even though I knew God designed me for that purpose. I doubted my body and myself. Every conversation with Hailey left me feeling strong, empowered and privileged that I could do those hard things! With her encouragement, support and shared resources I eventually knew that I could (and did) successfully deliver my baby unmedicated and without any medical intervention. And then even through very unforeseen medical circumstances that separated my baby and I for the first two weeks of his life, which forced him to take a bottle and forced me to pump in order to (hopefully) maintain my supply, we were able to transition back to exclusively breastfeeding upon our reunion. Hailey was a constant support for us as we worked through that time and unknown. I’m so thankful for the love and support Hailey shared with me and my family.”
